Our Objective

To maximize patient care while striving to eradicate kidney disease

The recently established USC Keck PKD Clinic, a partner clinic in the PKD Foundation’s Centers of Excellence program, plays a vital role in providing comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for PKD patients. The clinic actively engages in cutting-edge research to develop new treatments and seek a potential cure for this life-altering genetic disease. With the support of donors like you, we can foster the growth of the clinic, initiate new research endeavors, and facilitate patient participation in clinical trials, all aimed at greatly enhancing the lives of those afflicted with PKD.

The remaining funds will be dedicated to supporting the University of Southern California (USC) Kidney Donor Program. Our goal is to streamline the process and enhance the expert medical care provided, ensuring the needs of patients and donors are met at every phase of their journey.

Who are we

We are 3 siblings who have lost many beloved family members

Our family has experienced the devastating impact of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) firsthand. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and numerous aunts and cousins all battled this relentless disease. Tragically, some lost their lives in their 50s and 60s, while those fortunate enough to receive a transplant were able to extend their lives into their 70s.

Currently, there is no cure, and the available treatment options are limited, leaving many patients, like our mother, unable to receive the kidney transplant they desperately need. The focus is primarily on managing symptoms as well as preventing complications. Research indicates that when a parent has PKD, there is a 50-50 chance of their children inheriting the disease. In our family, every one of us has been affected by it.

Dedicated to Marge

Our efforts are dedicated to the memory of our beloved mother, Marge. She was an incredible role model and an inspiration to us and everyone who knew her. We honor her legacy by working towards a future where no family has to endure a profound and heartbreaking loss caused by PKD.
